Our little fairy princess is 28 months old today! She is a happy, silly, determined and head strong little girl. There are so many times during the day when I wonder what she's talking about and how she came up with some of the things she says. It's never a dull day with Lily!
It has almost been a month since we said bye-bye to the paci, and Lily has only mentioned it a few times. Naps and night time are still a struggle some days (it takes her forever to go to sleep sometimes!), but she is sleeping in her toddler bed for both.
She loves playing outside on her slides, digging in the sandbox and picking flowers for Mommy, Daddy and baby Luke. She recently started calling me Momo. Silly Lily! The "Why" questions continue....
Lily has really been into writing, drawing and painting the last few weeks. She can draw circles and triangles and makes ice cream cones that really look like ice cream cones! She also draws pictures of me and Luke. From what I've read, 2 years olds are supposed to be drawing vertical and horizontal lines and trying to make circles, but can not make the ends meet. They do not cross the mid line (like Xs) when they draw. That is considered to be a 4 year old skill. Most pre-K kids draw arms and legs coming out of the head. Lily is already doing all of these things! I think she is pretty artistic, but I'm a little bit biased!

I think Lily will be good little artist like her mom. You always could draw exceptionally well for your age too. Shis is such a pretty prodigy too!
I know why she is smart, I don't know why you all haven't figured it out. She has a smart mother who amazes me with the things she does with Lily, how can this child not learn? And she has a smart FADDER, not but one way to go and that is up. When Chris was Lily's age he was like a sponge soaking it up and he loved for you to read to him. Now you know the whole story.
