5 MONTHS OLD!

Luke is 5 months old today! Even though people say it seems to go faster with the second one, I didn't really believe it until now. I guess time flies when you're busy! Luke now weighs about 17 1/2 lbs. and is about 26 1/2 in. This is my best guess with measuring at home. He is eating every 3-4 hours and we are still working on sleeping through the night. Some nights he will sleep 6 hours and some nights he wants to wake up and nurse. We are also working on a nap schedule. He will usually take two 2 hour naps and one cat nap in the evening. I feed him around 10:00 PM and pray he sleeps until 6:00 AM!

Luke's new favorite game is looking at everyone upside down. He thinks it is really funny! He really is a happy baby! He smiles every time you look at him and he gets all bashful and hides his face! He was even flirting with the girls at the Vera Bradley store the other day. They thought he was the cutest thing they had ever seen and I have to agree!

Luke can roll both ways now and can scoot himself right off his play mat! He started doing mini push ups on 5-13-10. He grabs anything that tis near him (sometimes Lily and mommy's hair!) and it goes right in his mouth! He loves when Lily entertains him by singing a song or jumping around his mat. It makes him laugh every time!

He seems to enjoy tummy time more now....

But I still have to rescue him when he's had enough!

We started Luke on cereal the day he turned 4 months old. It took him a few weeks to get used to it, but is able to keep most of it in his mouth now. After 2 weeks of cereal at night, I started mixing in some fruit (apples, then bananas) and then we started green beans on 5-10-10. Today we tried avocado (he wasn't too sure about it) and apples & sweet potatoes. We haven't found a food he doesn't like yet!
