It's been about a month since I've really been trying to potty train Lily and things are going pretty well. Some days are good, like yesterday when she only went through 2 diapers and 1 pair of panties. And some days are bad, like Monday when she peed on the floor twice and went through 4 pairs of panties! I'd say Lily is 50- 60% potty trained. She goes to the potty every time I put her on it, gets really excited and says, "I pee pee!" Then we go through our routine: wipe, throw it in the toilet, empty her potty, flush, wash our hands, dry our hands and sometimes I give her a mini M&M. It's exhausting, especially since I have been setting the timer every 20 minutes this week. I figure I can slowly move the time up when she is not having accidents. The only real problems she is having is not wanting to stop playing to go to the potty. Sometimes she will stop on her own and go, but most of the time she'd rather play. The other problem is pooping. She does not like to poop in the potty. I asked the doctor and she said some kids are really good about doing one, but not the other. She knows when she goes and will take her diaper off and give it to me (what a nice little girl!) but gets upset about doing it in the potty. Lily is definitely not the potty pooper!

Keep up the good work Mom. Lily will eventually do #2 in the potty one day. She looks like a big girl in her cloth panties though. They have to feel better than a diaper. :-)
