LUKE (16 MONTHS) & LILY

Potty Time!

Luke went for his 15 month check up last week and here are his stats:

Weight- 22.9 1/2 oz. (20th %)

Height- 32 1/2 in. (90th %) Growing like a little weed!

Head Circ.- 19 in. (80th %)

-Luke is now saying: mama, dada, nana, papa, no, bye, hi, uh-oh, Daisey, Baylee and his newest, "Hi Da". He can sign "more" and "want" which looks like milk. I should really be working more with him since he gets very whiny when he can't tell me what he wants.

-We are finally working our way down to two nursing sessions a day!

-Luke loves to be outside playing with sticks and in the mud. He is all boy!

-He likes putting on his shoes and saying, "Bye!"

-Luke is VERY interested in the potty now! He follows anyone to the bathroom and takes off his pants and diaper! I got out the potty (I didn't think I would be needing it this soon!) and let him sit on it when he wants. I put him on right away one morning and he pee peed in the potty! I'm hoping he will just pick it from Lily.

-Poor Luke has a teething rash on his face that will not go away. I've tried everything and the doctor suggested diaper cream, which we do use at home. However, I read that it will just have to run its course. It looks so sad!

-When Luke wants something, he wants to do it himself, but he is still very much a mommy's boy and needs to be close to me at all times!

-Lily's new favorite hobby is dressing up. First she makes an announcement to everyone in the house that she is going to get dressed up. Then, she puts on lots of layers (pants, skirts, two shirts) and finds a few bows that match. Finally, she comes out so everyone can praise her new outfit. This happens multiple times a day. She even dresses up her stuffed animals, gives them all bows and makes them watch TV with her!

-Lily loves playing chase and hide and go seek. She counts to 10 and yells, "Ready for not. Here I come!" When it's her turn, she usually picks the same place to hide (the dark hall) or will make noises so you can find her.

-Chris has been out of town for almost two weeks and Lily is really missing him. She looks for him in the morning and has started crying a few times saying she wants him to come home. We are hoping he gets to be here for Easter weekend. I told Lily he might come home on Friday and she keeps asking when Friday will be here. Hope the Easter Bunny and Daddy get to visit!

Lily's Stygimoloch.

In case your not a Dino Dan Fan, that's a type of dinosaur!

Enjoyed the pictures, the first one of Luke could be Frankie or Chris. I can't believe that child looks so much like his father. Such beautiful children. Thanks for the pictures. I sure want to see them. Love you all, Gmth

They are both growing like little weeds. Look at the big boy sitting on the potty! :-)
