18 MONTHS OLD: HAPPY 1 1/2 BIRTHDAY LILY!!!

Lily has really been talking up a storm lately! She is starting to put 2 words together, such as "Hi Dada" and "Bye pee-pee!" She's still into everything and won't set still long enough to watch T.V. I know they say not to let your toddlers watch T.V., but it would be nice if she would watch a little so I can get things done! She is doing so great with potty training. I guess something clicked on our vacation because she is going to the potty on her own, pulling off her diaper and even wiping! I even got her to poop in her potty one time! For some reason she does not want to do this in the potty (she runs off and does it in secret!) and was very upset that it was in her potty. She kept saying, "Ewww!".
Lily slept with me while we were on vacation, and it seems like she sleeps much better in a bed than her crib. She doesn't wake up at all and can get herself down after naps. We are thinking of getting her a youth bed soon. She will have to give up her crib for the new baby soon!

we skipped the toddler bed and went straight to a twin bed. I didn't want to have to buy an extra crib mattress. It's worked really well and besides that it's one less transistion when they have to go from toddler bed to big bed. Good luck!

Lily really is turning into a big girl. I know that she did a fantastic job here letting Mom know when she needed to go potty. That's great that she likes sleeping in a bed rather than a crib now. You can get Lily set up in her new bed before the little one arrives. At least you won't have to have two cribs like I did when Kimberly was born. :-)
