1 STEP FORWARD, 2 STEPS BACK

Lily & Nana sharing a noodle!

The last couple of weeks have brought a lot of changes in Lily's little world. After her 1 year check up, we started working on getting Lily off the formula and onto whole milk. After a few days of mixing the two, she started getting used to the milk in her bottle, and then we started working on getting her used to drinking milk in her sippy cup. I'm sot sure why, but Lily REALLY didn't like the milk in her sippy cup. She will drink water out of it all day long, but the milk was another story. It made her shudder! But, eventually she has gotten used to the milk in her cup and only had one bottle today! I think we will say good-bye to the bottles by the end of the week. Now for the step back....
It seems like every time I say that Lily doesn't do something, she starts doing it the next day. Last week I told my mom that Lily really never had separation anxiety, mostly because we are always together. The very next day she started crying every time I left the room! I also told the doctor that she hadn't had any temper tantrums and then Miss Lily started showing her little temper! Today has been one screaming fit after another. Screaming because she wanted the popcorn, screaming because she didn't want to give me my make-up bag, etc. I'm not sure if it's teething or just her coming into her own, but it was not a fun day for me!
And we are still working on the waking at night. The doctor said she's old enough to put her self back to sleep, but I just can't ignore her when she's crying. So, 1 step forward, 2 steps back.

If she didn't decide things for herself you would think something was wrong. That is perfectly normal she wants to do it her way. That is what mothers are for
she must learn that you know best.
she is just testing. Don't fret it will PROBABLY get better (hope)

She is still the perfect baby. They will certainly test you and it only gets worse the older they get. :-)
