Lily is 22 months old today! She has been doing so many new things that I can't keep up with all of them. She is somewhere between 22 and 23 lbs. She loves to play in her playroom and watch Winnie the Pooh, Baby Einstein movies (especially Baby Noah- or Nomah as Lily calls it!) and a Richard Scary Learning video. She gets so excited when she see's a rabbit named Lily. She just smiles and smiles! She is starting to sing along with the songs and loves If Your Happy and You Know It. She loves to stomp her feet! She is putting more and more words together to make sentences and is into everything. We are still working on following directions (Ha Ha!) and I told her about the Elf on the Shelf watching her and telling Santa if she's a good little girl. Then she says, "Oh!". I'm going to have to get that elf...
Lily with her favorite toys. She has to have one or two of them where ever we go. When she has both of her babies, she always says, "Two babies!".
Lily with her favorite books. We have to read If you Give a Pig a Pancake and Polar Bear, Polar Bear several times a day.
Lily reading The Wheels on The Bus and Shushing the babies.
Lily used to be so scared of this horse that we had to put a blanket over it, but now she likes to ride him whenever she's in her room. Maybe she could sense that I wanted to put it in baby Luke's room?
Lily loves to draw and paint. She drew her first circle a couple of weeks ago and I got so excited I had to email it to the family! She likes to draw circles and then say she's drawing a hippo, her favorite animal.
Potty training is going great! I still remind her whenever I think about it, but she only goes every couple of hours now. She tells me she needs to go, and then she goes on her own. She is only wearing a diaper at night now. We took a couple of trips to the store with panties and there were no accidents! She's even putting her own panties on now!
One of the ladies in my prayer shawl group told me about the "Elf on a Shelf" last night. She's a brand new kindergarten teacher (just graduated last May). It was the first time I'd ever heard of it. Great concept!
Lily, when you start kindgergarten, you are going to be the smartest child in your class. I am so glad that you like books and I love the pictures with you and some of your favorite books. Mommy is doing such a great job with your potty training. I am so proud of you. :-) Love, Mimi
