Back To School & Countdown To Summer

I go back to school in 17 days and needless to say I am not looking forward to it. Yes, I miss all of my fellow teachers and even my kids (a bit!), but what will I do with out Lily in my arms? It's like the day you forget to wear your watch or wedding ring and then you feel like something is missing all day. I have been holding this child for 78 days and even though there comes a time everyday when I feel like I just have to get away from her for awhile, I know that when I am working I won't be able to think of anything else.
I am so lucky to have such a loving family (on both sides) that adores Lily and have volunteered to watch her while I go back to work for 30 days- but who's counting! My mom will watch her the first week and Chris' grandmother is coming down from SC to watch her for two of the weeks. She made the precious pink dress and bonnet that Lily wore in her photos- what talent! A family friend will watch her the rest of the time. I couldn't ask for more, and knowing that I will be at home with her next year will get me through these last days of school. I have to say that I really admire all those working mommies. Especially my sister as my nephew Jackson has so many health problems, it makes it hard for her to work and keep him healthy. He is on 11 medicines right now for asthma, allergies, reflux, cold and sinus issues and the H flu! Please keep him in your prayers.
Too bad we don't get paid for all the jobs we really have- mom, wife, working- we'd all be millionaires!
ANYWAYS- I know you want an update on Lily. She has really taken a liking to her swing which we thought would never happen. She sits in her swing and watches T.V. -yes, this is MY child! She is starting to really grab for her toys and we have long "conversations" about goos and coos! She is becoming a happier baby even though her little gas problem still upsets her!
